What's in each kit
Every kit includes an application cloth and your 3-year warranty booklet, plus a set of products for your material:
- Leather care kit: 1x 250ml Leather Protect & Preserve, 1x 250ml Leather Clean & Renew, 3x Leather Ink Remover Wipes
- Fabric care kit: 1x 250ml Fabric Cleaner Level 1, 1x 125ml Fabric Cleaner Level 2, 1x 250ml Fabric Deodoriser
Both kits come sized to your sofa, so pick 1 seat, 2 to 3 seats, or 4 to 7 seats at checkout. On a standard sofa, it's simple: match the kit to the seat number on the product page. For an L-shaped or modular sofa, count every individual seat cushion across all the sections, not just the main run, since a compact L-shape sofa can easily land in the 4 to 7-seat tier.

To keep your fabric sofa looking and feeling its best, vacuum it at least twice a month to prevent dust from settling. If you have furry friends, weekly vacuuming helps manage hair and odours. Freshen fabrics with regular damp dusting, and pretreat with an upholstery protector for added defence against spills and everyday mishaps. When accidents happen, blot spills gently instead of rubbing to avoid damaging fibres or spreading the stain, and spot clean using a mild, water-based upholstery cleaner. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
The Guardsman® Leather Care Kit is the one that covers the damage others don't, food and drink stains, ink marks, even accidental rips, tears, and cuts. Cleaning and protecting takes four steps:
- Patch test first: Before anything else, best to test the cleaner on a hidden spot, like underneath a cushion, so you know how your leather responds.
- Lift dirt and marks: Wipe the surface down with the cleaner to lift everyday dirt and light marks.
- Protect once dry: Let the leather dry fully, then apply the protector across the surface to guard it against the next spill.
- Reapply every few months: Top up the protector every 3 to 4 months to keep the leather supple and protected over the long run.
The Guardsman® Fabric Care Kit protects your sofa against food and drink stains and accidental damage, including rips, tears, and cuts. Ink stains aren't covered by this kit. Here's how to tackle a mark in four steps:
- Patch test first: Always test on a hidden area before you start, so you know the fabric takes the cleaner cleanly.
- Blot a fresh spill straight away: Blot rather than rub, and do it while the spill is wet so it doesn't set into the fibres.
- Match the cleaner to the mark: Use the Level 1 cleaner for everyday marks, and reach for the stronger Level 2 formula on set-in or stubborn stains.
- Finish with the deodoriser: Go over the area with the deodoriser to lift any lingering smell from the spill or daily use.
For leather, reapply the protector every 3 to 4 months regardless of how often the sofa gets used, since the leather dries out over time even without spills. For fabric, there's no fixed schedule: clean and deodorise as marks and odours come up, and reach for the Level 2 formula on set-in stains rather than waiting for a set interval.
The 3-year Guardsman® protection plan covers accidental stains and spills that can't be fully removed using the kit alone. If a mishap happens within the coverage period and the clean-and-protect system doesn't fully resolve it, Guardsman steps in to help restore your sofa, on top of what the kit already handles day to day.
