Wool Rugs
Some rugs simply fill a room, but wool rugs make it feel finished. Naturally soft, durable, and wonderfully tactile, wool brings warmth and texture underfoot while adding an easy sense of depth to your space. Our wool rugs are designed for lived-in rooms, whether you're grounding a sofa, softening a bedroom, or giving your dining area a little more warmth.
Available in versatile sizes, colors and patterns, there's a wool rug to suit everything from compact corners to open-plan spaces. Wool is naturally resilient too, making it a considered choice for everyday living. Expect a little shedding when your rug is new, then settle in, and let its natural character become part of your home.
FAQ
Yes, wool is an excellent material for rugs. It's naturally soft, durable and resilient, while its textured fibers add warmth and character to a room. Wool also has natural resistance to dirt and moisture, making it well suited to everyday spaces. With proper care, a quality wool rug can remain a comfortable and beautiful part of your home for years.
Wool rugs are durable and naturally soft, but they do require some care. New wool rugs can shed during the first few months, and spills should be cleaned promptly to avoid staining. Wool can also be more expensive than some synthetic rug materials. If you're looking for a low-maintenance rug that needs very little upkeep, a synthetic, or performance rug may be a better fit.
Wool rugs come in a range of constructions, pile heights, and textures. Common types include hand-knotted, hand-tufted, and flatweave wool rugs. You can also find wool rugs made with different blends, such as wool combined with cotton or synthetic fibers. The right type depends on the look, feel and level of durability you want for your space.
Vacuum your wool rug regularly using a suction-only attachment or a setting designed for delicate rugs. Blot spills as soon as they happen rather than rubbing them into the fibers. Avoid harsh cleaning products and follow the care instructions provided with your rug. For deeper stains or cleaning, professional rug cleaning is often the safest option.
